The project consists of the proposed phased development of 11 residential units to be constructed in the Sunset Bay subdivision on Grassy Key, Marathon, FL and intended for use by U.S. Coast Guard personnel stationed at the USCG Station Marathon. The first phase of the development includes the construction of three (3) four-bedroom single family detached dwellings and six (6) three-bedroom dwelling units in “duplex” configuration. The second phase will include construction of two (2) additional three-bedroom dwellings, also in the form of duplex units. Each of the housing units and all the sites have been designed, and was constructed, utilizing the principles of integrated sustainable design strategies and features necessary to meet a minimum of LEED for Homes “Certified” level in the US Green Building Council Program. |
