WA, as Prime Consultant to Miami-Dade County Aviation Department and American Airlines, design and construction administration services for American’s new ground/ramp control tower at Miami International Airport. The project serves as American’s central command and operations center, housing staff responsible for control of all of the airline’s aircraft ground control operations, including but not limited to coordination of operating aircraft ground traffic control, aircraft servicing and maintenance operations, passenger and cargo services, fueling and catering services, and includes state-of-the art telecommunications, data retrieval/transmission systems, close circuit monitoring and security, as well as a sophisticate national weather tracking/local lightning detection systems. |
