| The Community Center and Library at Bayside Park is the first significant new building for the Village. The 11,300 SF two-story Community Center offers a meeting and performance space for events, lectures, and community activities overlooking a preserved mangrove area and the Biscayne Bay Aquatic Preserve. Because of the preserve careful consideration was given to keep the existing trees whenever possible.
The first story is dedicated to the 8,800 SF library, which employs large windows protected by over hangs that double as verandas to introduce natural daylight into the spaces that will include a reading room, children’s center and computer lab. The first floor also has a band shell for special performances, lectures, workshops and children’s activities. To support the community center, library and special event plenty of on-site parking is available. |
