WA designed a unique “urban town” shopping center to interrelate with the village character of Coconut Grove, FL. The 28,000 SF complex, focuses around a three-story, outdoor galleria, introduces a pedestrian scale similar to old New Orleans with the interior designed as an extension of the streetscape. The center includes a variety of upscale and exclusive retail shops, an outdoor food and entertainment court and a rooftop restaurant overlooking the Grove setting. The center is built above two levels of parking which are hidden from the pedestrian experience while meeting parking requirements.
Grove Harbour received the Southeast Builder's Conference Aurora Awards for the Best Commercial Facility and the Grand Aurora Award for the Best Commercial/Industrial Facility, and the Florida Concrete and Products Association Award for Outstanding Concrete Structure in Florida. |
