WA was commissioned to provide a park wide master plan, a new 7,000 SF tennis center and 17 new clay courts for the City of Miami Beach at the historic Flamingo Park. The firm is providing programming, planning, historical renovations, architectural and engineering services for the 36.53-acre park.
WA conducted design charrettes with the citizens of Miami Beach to solicit input on the new master plan and tennis center. The new tennis center has a proshop, restrooms and a general multi-purpose room. The master plan combined existing elements to remain as well as proposed new structures and activities areas and provides for park wide improvements to landscaping, lighting, graphics and signage, estate fencing. Improvements to amenities such as new benches and garbage bins and other improvements to venues including the football stadium, baseball and softball fields, and public restrooms are also part of the scope of work. |
