WA provided architecture and engineering services for the design of a new 32,000 SF Fire Station and Administration Building located in Downtown Fort Lauderdale. The new three-story facility combined two existing fire and rescue stations and will house the administrative offices for the City of Fort Lauderdale Fire and Rescue Services Division. The Fire Rescue Station and living quarters for on-duty personnel occupy the first two floors.  Fire Rescue Department Administration, the Emergency Medical Services Bureau, the Domestic Preparedness & Emergency Maintenance Bureau and the Fire Prevention offices are located on the third floor.

The project won a Community Appearance Award by the City of Fort Lauderdale as well as the Fire Station Style Award for Notable Design by Fire Chief Magazine.
