WA provided architectural and engineering services for expansion and improvement to the existing CocoWalk complex in Coconut Grove, FL including a new parking structure, eight cinemas and retail facilities. The five-level, 140,000 SF parking garage accommodates 360 vehicles. Two levels of the parking structure are below grade and eight new cinemas are located on the 28,000 SF top level of the parking structure. The structural design includes a post-tension concrete structural system up to the cinema level and a steel roofing structure. All levels have pedestrian access to the existing facilities with the top and bottom levels also having vehicular access to existing parking.
